The Ditch was man'd today and as promised here is the report. From sun-up to 3PM the ducks were steadily moving around. The mid-day lull only lasted about 45 minutes. These were not the migrating sort of ducks, but the been here for a while sort. Seemed as if the weather the last few days had the residents hunkered down a bit and now that there was no rain they were all moving around. Had some competition with G'Ditch today. Took turns calling birds from each other multiple times only to have the ducks bug-out on both of us. The G'Ditch left with 6, we think, and we managed to scratch 4. The South Ditch was man'd all day as well and no success to report. Very few ducks on the move, they did fire a couple rounds, but nothing dropped. The Ditch will have hunters again in the AM so we'll have a report late afternoon concerning the action, or perhaps lack there of. So tune back in for the stories. By the way: My family duck doctor has commented on the up coming weekend and his concern for my health. He said to stay at home from the ditch Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Crazy fool, he must have been talking with my wife! C'ya next time.
