Tomorrow Might Be Worth It????

Hello again all my technologically advanced and well connected waterfowl enthusiast friends. Welcome to Muck Bottom Outfitters Waterfowl Report. Zero anticipation of action today so the Ditch remained unman'd again, and yes it is November 21. Received a phone call from the Wizard around 4PM this afternoon and he was wondering if anyone had been hunting today. He had some time to waste late this afternoon and was sitting at the South Ditch. Excitement rang in his voice and I could tell something was going on. There was about 2 hours, from 3PM to close, of migrating Mallards. His best guess was that he saw around 5,000 or so high in the sky. On a South wind even! The captain of the Hay Ditch had called Wizard and told him, in exact words, "IT"S ON!" Some new birds have moved into the Valley area and tomorrow is full of high hopes for the Hay Ditch and crew. For us, we'll have to hope the birds are still movin' around Wed and Thurs. With an already short week of work with the Holiday, almost no chance of getting any extra days this week.

Got a report from Kohler West echoing the same hopeful news. MC Wrote: Saturday 11/21 - 7 ducks, 6 Mallards 1 Hollywood. Sunday 11/22 - Zero, no shots fired. Did see 2 bunches of Mallards, no decoying. Never saw or heard a goose either day. Side note…scheduled off all of this week to hunt but altered that plan after yesterday. 3 of the guys are out today and based on their report I will decide on tomorrow. Hunting Wednesday through Sunday regardless.

That's all I got for now. We'll be updating as we hear, check back for the latest and greatest and thanks for all the hits.
