Received another report from Turkey Day. Waterfowl Wizard wrote: Hunted the Hay ditch on Turkey day. Killed 5 big geese. Ditch Honcho said that many more geese are roosted across the road and must be sittin'. He believes that we only saw a fraction of them come off in the AM. He's out huntin' today. Will keep you posted with any reports.
Post script; We continued to see migrating flocks of dark geese, in the morning, no ducks on the move.
Funny how that works. We've been watching some large groups of geese the last 4 or so days and they come out like clockwork at night but are almost impossible to find in the morning. Maybe the nice weather only has 'em comin' out once a day to feed. Have some promising winds Sunday and some cooler weather and winds Wednesday and Thursday next week. Still holdin' out hope. That's all for now, will keep up with the reports as they come.
